Mobile phone shop assistants are still telling customers that their ‘fixed’ contract prices won’t increase, despite hikes from all major mobile companies. This is even after they've promised to improve staff training. (more about mobile phone shops...)

This one almost slipped under the radar – another mobile provider is hiking prices for customers locked into fixed contracts. Talkmobile is increasing prices by around 3% for its pay-monthly customers. (more about Talkmobile's price rise...)

Beat the energy price rises? I didn’t think it was possible. But Ofgem licence terms mean you can escape from your contract if gas and electricity prices go up. There’s a lesson here for the mobile industry… (more on fixed energy contracts...)
