I joined Which? in 1999 and since then have worked on all sorts of campaigns from getting fair prices for new cars to removing unfair terms in mortgage contracts. Now, I mainly work on energy and personal finance and sometimes go on TV and radio as a Which? spokesperson. In my spare time (!) I also juggle two children who are at primary school, a husband and home.

Energy tariffs in petrol pump style

We found only one in 10 people could identify the cheapest deal when presented with a range of standard energy tariffs. When shown the tariffs in a simpler form the number shot up to nine out of 10. (more about tariff tests...)

Young girl by radiator

microphones at a press conference

Energy suppliers often tell us they don’t make a lot of money from selling gas and electricity, but as huge profits are announced, it prompts the question, ‘am I paying a fair price for energy?’ (more on energy company profits...)

It's official; I'm 'GREAT'. That’s according to First Utility's new energy savings plan which was launched last week. The idea is that you get a personal comparison with your neighbours in terms of energy comparison. (more about energy use...)
